Starting and Finishing at a location to be determined within the Surrey Hills

New Format to finish at Night!

12 hours non-stop racing. Starting 10:00 on Saturday 7th September,

Finishing at 22:00 Saturday 7th September

Race through the day and finish in the darkness of night.

Disciplines include trail running, mountain biking, navigation and micro navigation, and some special stages.  The event will be score based which will allow for competitors to take shorter routes between transitions and therefore keeping Adventurers on each stage at the same time.

Based on feedback from last year, I fully intend to include some Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Test your navigation over 12 hours and into the dark.

Location:

2019 Event HQ location to be confirmed… The map below is not a clue.

Arriving by Car: There will be parking on site, please follow the signage.

This will be a score event, the highest number of points will be the winner. Starting on a foot stage checkpoints will be worth different values throughout the event.   There will be some mandatory Checkpoints along the most direct route between transitions. Once you receive your maps at registration, you will see the most direct route to complete the event will be approximately 80k, manageable by all.  The faster and fitter will cover a greater distance by collecting additional satellite checkpoints, located off this most direct route.  Teams/Solos should progress between the Transitions of the course at a similar rate due to set time windows.  This will enable us to keep track of your progress and ensure you feel looked after throughout the 12 hour period.  You can expect to contend with approximately 6 hours of darkness from the start of the event but, hopefully, it will not be too cold as we will be in July and the UK Summer months!  You will need to plan your strategy carefully once you collect your maps on race day.  The control/checkpoint will be located at easy to identify features/junctions. The checkpoint boxes will not be hidden at their locations, glow-sticks may be positioned to aid locating the boxes at the controls.

Sunset on 7th September – 19:36
Sunrise 7th September – 06:25

Registration will be open from 8am.

Below is a taste of one of the stages, maybe! SUP!
