Young Adventurers – We like to encourage young Tri-Adventurers to take part in our 2 hour events.  At the moment we allow 8-16 year old to take part with an accompanying, responsible, fee paying adult.  A waiver form will be signed by the adult at registration.  The option of an additional map and hire of a dibber will cost £5 on the day.  Please enter the adult as normal then drop us an email.

Series Calculations – When the event is part of a series, each competitor’s score is calculated as a percentage of the winning score at the same event. The resulting percentage from each event is then aggregated across the Series.  Enter a minimum of 3 events in a series to qualify, and the winner is the one with the highest totalled percentages over his/her 3 highest scoring events.

Why is it done in this way?  Well, if one event is a wash out with really sticky mud, the winner may only visit 10CPs and therefore be awarded 100%.  Someone who collects 5CPs at the same event will achieve 50%, etc.  If the next event is dry and fast, the winner may visit all 15CPs and be awarded 100%.  Someone who only visits 10CPs will be awarded 66%.  10CPs at a dry event could be far easier that on a wet day.  This makes for a fair calculation over all the events in the series.  Entering all the events will be a significant advantage over someone who misses one as all events count in the total.
